The Soft Sell: Sales Skills for Librarians

This discussion session will describe and demonstrate the use of a sales framework that can strengthens librarians’ ability to persuasively solve users problems with library-sponsored solutions. Focusing on a sales framework called SPIN® Selling, this presentation will lead participants through practical examples that demonstrate how these communication strategies can significantly enhance librarians’ abilities to meet users’ needs with existing spaces, services and content.
