sorry I'm not attending Midwinter this year. I'll be at Annual!
Thanks for the update!
Our RSS MARS/VR Committee had its meeting today, at ALA Midwinter in Philadelphia. No one from our committee showed up. Three guests came, however. They are:
Reed Lowrie, Harvard College Library
Amy Wainwright, John Carroll University
Laurie Neuerburg, University of Houston/Victoria library
Since this was a planning meeting and informal, I gave a brief overview of our committee and asked what they would like from our work. We primarily discussed virtual reference and needs to understand how to organize this with a team, advocate its legitimacy to supervisors/administrators, and illicit increases in use. Their responses were shared - to have future webinars or meetings/workshops that include:
I suggested that maybe we could have USA.Gov librarians give a presentation in the future, such as what was given at ALA Midwinter in Seattle (pre/un-conference held at the UW). They liked this idea very much.

Our meeting adjourned at 1:55pm.
