Linked Library Data Interest Group Annual Report
Linked Library Data Interest Group sponsored two managed discussions; each discussion began with presentations as follows:
at Midwinter in Seattle: David Talley from the Learning Linked Data Project talked about that project. Discussions across 5 round tables followed featuring, as table facilitators, both Joe Tennis and Mike Crandall from the same Learning Linked Data Project. 40-50 people attended. At Annual in Chicago: Jackie Shieh of George Washington University spoke about her library’s experience as a BIBFRAME Early Experimenters. Discussions across 7 round tables followed. 60-70 people attended. Details of that discussion can be found at http://connect.ala.org/node/210023.
- a former co-chair’s term ended (Deb Shapiro’s) and a new co-chair (Sarah Quimby) started her two year term.
- The group held a business meeting at the LITA All-Committees session at MidWinter to discuss various topics.
- IG officers met at the LITA IG & Committee Chairs meeting in Chicago, mostly to discuss programming for 2014.
