When:

Monday, July 1, 2013 - 10:30am to 11:30am

Location:

McCormick Place Convention Center

S103bc

Presenters:

Moderator: Anne Houston, Director, Humanities and Social Sciences Services, Alderman Library, University of Virginia
Speaker: Kathy Rosa
Speaker: Rachel Fleming-May

Description:

The traditional measures of library performance --reference questions answered, size of collections, etc--no longer tell the whole story of how libraries impact users. How can academic and public libraries develop new metrics that give a more complete picture of library effectiveness? Our speakers will include Rachel Fleming-May from the IMLS-funded Lib-Value (Value, Outcomes, and Return on Investment of Academic Libraries) project; and Kathy Rosa, Director of the ALA Office of Research and Statistics.
