GODORT Silent Auction Bidding Open for Readex Chester, Vermont and Naples, Florida properties

Bidding is OPEN!!!!

Sponsored by Readex and GODORT (American Library Association's Government Documents Round Table) each year Readex, a division of NewsBank, graciously makes available their Chester, Vermont and their Naples, Florida properties to raise funds to support the Rozkuszka Scholarship. The W. David Rozkuszka Scholarship provides financial assistance to an individual who is currently working with government documents in a library and is trying to complete a master's degree in library science. This award, established in 1994, is named after W. David Rozkuszka, former Documents Librarian at Stanford University. The award winner receives $3,000.

This "silent auction" is the main fundraising activity for the scholarship. We ask for your support and participation in the auction. Bidding on the Readex Chester, VT and Naples, FL properties starts immediately and closes  9 am EST on 7/12/2013.. Bidding is open to anyone so pass this among your non-government information colleagues. The bidding starts at $100 for each (see link below to place your bid). The lucky winning bidders will be notified after the closing date.

Description of properties:

CHESTER, VT -- Take a step into yesteryear with a seven-day stay in picturesque Chester, the quintessential Vermont small town. Nestled within the famous Green Mountains, this Victorian-style home-built circa 1850-is located on the town's in Street, less than a block from several small shops and restaurants. Enjoy the area's amazing foliage, hike on nearby trails or drive through the lovely, winding countryside to see untouched woodlands and pastoral farms. (Sleeps up to 8)

NAPLES, FL -- Spend four days in Naples, the gem of Florida's west coast. You'll stay in a spacious 3-bedroom condominium located two short blocks from the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy world-class shopping and dining on nearby 3rd Street and 5th Avenue, the latter within walking distance of your door. Take a drive to the world-famous Everglades National Park, walk along the beach, take in glorious sunsets or dine at one of the areas many superb restaurants. (Sleeps up to 6)
