ALA Connect User logins are disabled for a temporary "gray-out" period, to prevent new posts while we upgrade into the New Connect. This gray-out period will begin on March 26th, and the new site will be launched on April 25th.

Hello RSS Marketing and PR Committee!  The following is what I am sending out to promote our three-part "Slam the Boards" program.  Please distribute widely! 

RUSA is giving us the free webinar but we need to promote it internally and to our lists, where ever you think it will be well received.



Here is an opportunity to learn about a virtual reference program through a free webinar and hands-on experience.  Slam the Boards uses social media, such as Yahoo Answers, to be where potential library customers are.  Through programs like these, we can reach those who ask questions but are not thinking of their libraries…and maybe will after chatting with us, since we provide friendly, welcoming and professional interactions!  RSS Marketing and PR Committee is one of the organizers of this three-part program.

Attending ALA Annual in Chicago?  Attend the follow-up discussion forum based on this webinar.  Share your “Slam” experiences and  learn from your colleagues!  Saturday, June 29, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.  Watch http://ala13.ala.org/ for room assignments.
