How was your state or regional library conference this year? See a great program or put one on that got rave reviews?
Let everyone else get a chance to learn about it. You have already done the hard work of putting together a program and have even presented it at least once. Volunteer to present it again during the Affiliates Showcase.
Affiliates Showcase is a program from the ALCTS Affiliate Relations Committee offered for the first time in 2012. We
had a successful, well-attended program and want to continue to bring the fantastic and informative presentations we
see at our state and regional meetings to ALA Annual Conference.
Presentations can be either a repeat of the program given on the local level (up to 30 minutes) or an abridged version of it.
This is a reminder to pull that presentation off the shelf and do it again or tell us about someone who did a great job and we will contact them.
Take pride in the hard work you do and get recognized for it at ALA Annual.
The setup for the program will be theater style, with a standing podium, a head table, mics at the table, on the podium and on the floor, a screen, a projector, and a computer. Just bring your thumb drive for slides. If someone wants to bring their own laptop we can plug it in. Handouts (not required) are on your own. Slides and PowerPoint presentations can be posted after the conference on the ALA Connect site.
