Want to Learn About GODORT! Now’s Your Chance!
Please feel free to foward this announcement to colleagues and library listservs.
Are you new to Government Information Librarianship? A Documents expert attending your first ALA or hoping to get involved in GODORT after a long absence? A Library school student interested in Government information?
If any of these apply to you, please consider signing up for the GODORT Buddy program! Participants will be assigned a GODORT “buddy” who is an active member in the GODORT community to answer questions about GODORT and give you a personal introduction to our community.
Your GODORT Buddy will meet you at the GODORT Happy Hour on Friday night 5:30-7:30, introduce you to other members and provide you with an information packet relevant to GODORT. If possible, they will meet with you at least one more time during the conference to follow up on your experience and answer additional questions you might have.
If you would like to be assigned a GODORT Buddy for the Midwinter Conference in Seattle, please fill out this form no later than January 7, 2013: http://goo.gl/iYaUV
Buddy assignments will be emailed by January 11, 2013. If you have any questions please contact Kris Kasianovitz, Chair of GODORT Membership at firstname.lastname@example.org or 650-723-2851.
