2012 ALA Conference Scheduler Summaries

I wanted to provide a usage snapshot for the online conference schedulers, so I prepared the following report. I'm also attaching it to the Connect discussion as a PDF. Please let me know if you have questions about any of this.

2012 Midwinter Scheduler (Nov 21, 2011 – Feb 29, 2012)

  • Sessions in the Scheduler: 1089
  • Personal sessions entered by users: 2738
  • Users who saved a schedule: 1761 (1456 in 2011)
  • Users who saved a list of exhibitors: 268
  • Users who completed session attendance: 66 (75 in 2011)
  • Total pageviews: 237,072
  • Unique pageviews: 163,290
  • Unique visitors: 17,397

 

2012 Annual Scheduler (Apr 27 – Jul 31, 2012)

  • Sessions in the Scheduler: 2043 (1650 in 2011)
  • Personal sessions entered by users: 5340 (5024 in 2011)
  • Users who saved a schedule: 4079 (4287 in 2011)
  • Users who saved a list of exhibitors: 804 (510 in 2011)
  • Users who completed session attendance: 387 (316 in 2011)
  • Total pageviews: 971,090
  • Unique pageviews: 650,994
  • Unique visitors: 44,271

 

2012 Annual Scheduler Mobile Apps and mobile website (no iOS app download/install statistics available; Apr 27 – Jul 31, 2012)

  • 976 total user installs of the Android mobile app
  • 14 comments, 4 stars on mobile app in Google Play Store
  • Total number of views for the “download the iOS app” page: 4405
  • Total pageviews for the mobile site: 230,345
  • Unique pageviews for the mobile site: 140,164
  • Percentage of iOS devices that used the mobile site: 62%
  • Percentage of Android devices that used the mobile site: 35%

Hi and thanks for the data!

Would it be possible to re-do the top 10 member-schedule lists as percentages of memberhip-of-unit?
(sorry to make more work - also, membership-of-unit could be a close estimate if the actual numbers are unavailable - I'm looking more for overall pattern of use and less for exact measure of each user)

We don't currently output those figures as percentages of membership-of-unit, so I can't readily provide that. I have member counts I'll go back and add to the document, but note that again these aren't necessarily unique users. For example, a division with a section has members appearing in both counts.
