Volunteer for ALCTS service

Good Morning,

Now that Midwinter is over, it's time to begin to fill committee positions for next year, beginning July 1, 2012.  The appointing officers of ALCTS, the President-elect and the section chair-elects, are looking for members who want to serve.

In addition to committees, there are working groups, task forces, subcommittees, Interest Groups, and more.  ALCTS provides a wide variety of opportunities whether or not you can attend the ALA  conferences.  Even if you don't have a lot of time, ALCTS has short term assignments that might meet your needs and ours.

First step is to fill out of the volunteer form:

Tell us who you are and what you'd like to do.  The more information you provide the better able the appointing officers can match your interests and background with a position.

If you are interested in working with an Interest Group, contact the chair of that group and tell them you're willing to help out.

Don't delay.  Fill out the form today. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new things, and do good work.
