Give a lightning talk at the ACRL Image Resources Interest Group Meeting!
Saturday, June 25, from 1:30-3:30 pm in the Sheraton Napoleon Room
Do you have experience developing or supporting interdisciplinary image resources in academic libraries? How are images acquired, managed, delivered, supported, funded, and used in your institution? How do you meet patrons’ needs for quality image resources and tools to support their use? We’d like to hear about your experiences, and generate discussion about current practices.
Talks should be brief (5 minutes) and highlight current innovations, practices, tools, or issues. The format will be informal with ample time for Q&A and discussion. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
Working with images across systems and platforms; Supporting faculty research and teaching with images; Developing interdisciplinary image collections; Collaborating with academic departments and across library units; Image cataloging and metadata; Access to image resources through library web sites; Visual literacy; Image copyright; Digitization projects.
To submit a proposal, please email us a brief description of your proposed topic by May 13th. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
