Emerging Trends Discussion Group - 2011 Midwinter Meeting, San Diego
The LLAMA HRS Emerging Trends Discussion Group will be meeting in San Diego on Saturday, January 8, from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., in Room 22 of the San Diego Convention Center.
As with previous Midwinter discussions, attendees are asked to identify several current library human resource trends and, through subsequent discussion, decide on the top two or three for concurrent discussions at the Annual Meeting.
You will recall the valuable conversations we had at the last annual meeting on succession planning and the effect changes in staffing had on morale. So please plan on attending and bring with you ideas and concerns - staffing, budget, training, leadership issues, mentoring, measuring skill sets, identifying core competencies, or just plain planning – whatever you would like to share and learn with your colleagues at annual.
To facilitate discussion, I am including the Committees' charge: The discussion group's purpose is to identify and discuss emerging trends in all aspects of human resources in all types of libraries and library workplaces. The meeting is open to anyone interested in human resources.
Please join us for stimulating discussions of relevant Human Resources topics; we always learn so much from each other.
See you in San Diego,
