This is a copy of a PowerPoint presentation given by Simmons College Social Work Professor Abbie Frost at CSWE. I modified a few parts to reflect Michigan instead of Massachusetts resources because I passed it on to my faculty.  I think it has some interesting ideas. She worked extensively with their Social Work Librarian Gianna Gifford. I have since contacted Gianna to pick her brain about how these efforts are going. Due to funding issues they will likely be changing this program somewhat but the nice thing about these competencies is that the faculty member is the lead person and students actually have consequences if they don't pass the workshops or test out of them. Having faculty buy-in is critical! I'm happy to give an update on this at our next meeting.
