ALA Library Education Assembly Meeting Information

Dear Library Education Assembly Members,

Below is a list of upcoming meetings to be held in San Diego, CA, during the ALA Midwinter Meeting of relevance to members of the Library Education Assembly.

Of particular interest is the Library Education Discussion Group.  The Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) is co-sponsoring this event with ALA/COE and it is designed to continue a series of dialogues between library school educators and practitioners on topics of common interest.  As members of the assembly who represent practitioners from various disciplines within library studies, I would ask that you distribute information about the event widely and also encourage practitioners to attend.  LIS educators are eager to work with you and have an open dialog.  I will send out additional information about the topic of discussion and format for this event tomorrow.

Friday, January 7, 2011:

4:00 PM – 5:15 PM                            Library Education Discussion Group          SDCC-Room 32 A/B

Saturday, January 8, 2011:

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM                            Education Assembly Meeting                         SDCC-Room 19

SDCC is the San Diego Convention & Exhibition Center.  An agenda and any documents will be forthcoming.  If you have additional questions, please let me know.
