Places to Eat

Know of great place to eat (or avoid eating at)?  List them here!

Hi Adelle and everyone... the list of restaurants for networking dinners on Thursday and Saturday is being posted on the main event page at http://connect.ala.org/node/112561, and I'm attaching it here as well.  Atlanta seems to be also very well covered by Yelp.com - you'll find lots of reviews for other local places there.  For the networking dinners, we were specifically looking at places that could accommodate groups of people without a lot of notice, so your own interests may vary from that!

Haven't tried any of these, but this is what a friend has recommended, all in the same area (Midtown over by Georgia Tech)

"There is a pizza place called Antico off of 10th street and Hemphill, and a doughnut spot called Sublime then off 10th and Howell Mill are a few spots (West Egg, JCT kitchen (a very good spot for new southern cuisine), Star Provisions, Bachanallia , The Real Chow Baby and Taqueria Del Sol(in that order) these are all in town, a cab ride from downtown. Then there is the well known Varsity, but be warned it's more nostalgia then anything and very greasy!!!!"

My sister lives in Atlanta - i will pass this list on to her and post her feedback. I know I've eaten at some fabulous restaurants both high - end and casual.
