This has been a year of changes. A year ago, the ASCLA Collaborative Digitization Planners interest group organized a preconference workshop on sustainability at ALA Annual, "After the Grant Runs Out: Funding Collaborative Digitization." In the past year, many established collaboratives have been forced to deal with the economic realities of reduced funding and changing missions.

Join the Collaborative Digitization Planners interest group at ALA Annual 2010 for a session on "Sustainability and Survival in a Year of Change." Our meeting will be held on Saturday, June 26, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the JW Marriott, Capitol Ballroom A/B. We will have several invited speakers, including Rachel Frick from the Digital Library Federation, which is now a program within CLIR, and Robin Dale from Lyrasis, who will review the cooperative relationship between BCR and Lyrasis and what it could mean for new and existing collaborations. All members are also invited to bring their own stories of change and survival to share with the group.

We will also get an update on the status of the "Librarianship and Traditional Cultural Expressions" document and discuss other resolutions set to come before the ASCLA Board and ALA Council.
