Annual Conference

Hi, all!

Am I correct to assume that we will be meeting both virtually and in-person. I will not be going to D.C. this year. Please let me know how I can participate. Can we participate  in the meetin vis-a-vis Illuminate or ALA Connect chat?

Hi Yossi & others -

Details will be coming shortly.  I've heard that a real-time virtual meeting will probably not be happening, but I'll provide some info on how we can stay in touch in spite of that. 

As of right now, there aren't any big issues or topics on the agenda.  If you all have things you're burning to discuss, please let me know.   Program ideas?  New resources?  A success you've experienced?  Something you're struggling with?  Share your experience and ideas with the committee.

Getting excited for Washington DC?  I am!  I finally have some information about BRASS meetings and our committee meeting.

The full schedule of BRASS happenings, including committee meetings, is here http://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/rusa/sections/brass/brassevents/2010Annual.cfmOn this schedule, notice that we are scheduled to have our committee meeting on Saturday afternoon.  It will most likely be after the forum event in the same room.  I know that's not very firm, but it's all I've got right now.  Assume this is the plan unless you hear differently from me. 

I would like to hear from YOU.  Are you coming to Annual?  Are you planning to attend the committee meeting?  Are there any topics or issues you would like us to discuss?  Please let me know so I can put them on the agenda. 

For those of you who are not attending Annual and would like to participate virtually, please submit your comments to me via email.  There isn't any virtual meeting equipment set up, so there isn't a way for you to participate in real time.  If you would like, you could call my cell phone and participate via speaker phone.  Again, just let me know what you want to do.  Either way, I'll definitely send out meeting minutes after Annual. 

Speaking of meeting minutes, will someone volunteer to take them?

I'm coming up with a rough agenda and will distribute it soon, but I wanted to get this note out to y'all without further delay.
