The ACRL Legislative Agenda
The ACRL Legislative Agenda 2017 is very well written, and comprehensive in its coverage of vital legislative issues for academic libraries. This year every one of the issues addressed seems absolutely critical!
The ACRL Legislative Agenda
I agree. The ACRL Legislative Agenda 2017 is quite comprehensive, as is the references (and links) included in the doc.
ACRL Legislative Agenda
Great work by the ACRL Legislative Committee. They covered the issues well and provided some very compelling rationale and additional resources for further consideration.
Excellent work!
I think this agenda is very exciting, very detailed, and that the Gov Relations Committee has done an extremely thorough job here! In the section on "Access to Federally Funded Research" I might like to see some additional citations for some of the numbers (e.g. $60 bil. in funding, 11 agencies, etc.), but it will be timely to have this ready for Library Legislative Day.
kudos for Barbara and Kara
The accolades belong to Barbara Petersohn and, of course, Kara Malenfant

excellent work
The ACRL Legislative Agenda is thorough and well-presented. There may be a very good reason why it isn't included but I was surprised not to see any mention of the future of the Copyright Office.
Copyright & Leg Agenda
John,
There are many pieces of legislation and/or policy related to potential for copyright reform, including the bill to make the Registrar of Copyrights a Presidential appointee (which we opposed, see http://www.acrl.ala.org/acrlinsider/archives/13478 ) Because ACRL is a member of the Library Copyright Alliance, we have a mechanism, separate from the legislative agenda, to make our positions known on policy and legislation related to changes in copyright. So ACRL has, in effect already opposed that piece of legislation, although it is not called out here on the legislative agenda.
