Discussion Learn about ALA Connect before leaving ALA Annual 2009 - A great way to stay in touch after conference!!!

There are a few sessions to learn about ALA Connect on Tuesday, July 14th.

Come to a one hour session in Room W-177 at McCormick Place at either 10:00 am or 1:30 pm.

Or come to the ALA Membership Pavilion which is Booth 3034 in the Exhibit Hall from 10:00 to 10:30 or 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.

You can also join this "Sandbox" community and experiment with Connect features including:

Posts: For posting short announcements, links, and news (use to post files, too)

Online Docs: For longer documents that can be edited by members of the group collaboratively

Calendar: Your group calendar - add events with start and end date/times

Surveys: Create online surveys for the group (more than one question

Polls/Votes: Create online polls for the group with one question

Chats: Text-based chat room for members of the group

Discussions: Forums for discussing various topics (also known as bulletin boards)

Images: Upload an image file that can be used by others

Here is the outline for this class.

To provide a location for members to play and experiment with Connect features during member training at Annual and Midwinter meetings or before creating a community of their own.
